A dimmed button tells you why

In Records a dimmed button is never a dead end. Tap it: a small window tells you what is missing and "Take me there" jumps to the field you need to fill.

Where to find it

Any button that looks dimmed, on any screen

  1. A button that cannot do its job yet looks a little lighter, but it still answers: tap it.
  2. The window says exactly what is missing (a name, an email, a date, a nurse, a reason…). "Got it" closes it; "Take me there" opens the exact field and puts the cursor in it.
  3. Fill what was missing and the button is the usual one again — no need to close or reopen anything.
  4. The only buttons that really stop are the ones that are working ("Sending…", "Saving…"): they say so in their own text and come back when the job is done.
Tip

The same applies in the worker portal, in her language: "Continue" or "Sign and send" explain what is missing before signing.
