The calendar is declared with two questions: “How often do you run payroll?” (weekly or every two weeks) and “When does your current period end?” (the last day of work included in that payroll). With that date Payroll knows the day of the week your period ends and tells you before saving, along with the periods that follow from it. Then it generates every period, backwards and forwards: weekly periods last 7 days and every-two-weeks periods last 14. Which visits fall in each period is decided by the date of the visit. The date must be close to today: if it is more than 60 days away, the screen asks you to check it. You can name it, and the name cannot repeat. If you pay with more than one calendar, add another with the calendar icon next to the period selector, and in Caregivers choose which one each person is paid with; with a single calendar, it covers all staff. With several, anyone without an assigned calendar stops her pay until she has one. If you declared the date wrong, correct it in My account → Payroll rules.
