Paid: record what you paid and the payroll’s reports

With the payroll closed, you record what you paid, see whether it matches and download that payroll’s reports.

In “Paid”, “Pay them” tells you what is left. Pay as usual, with the register in hand, and press “I’ve paid them”: enter how much you paid (what is left is already filled in, and you cannot record more), the day (MM/DD/YYYY, up to today) and, if you want, a reference (check or transfer number), and press “Record the payment”. If you record what is left, it is fully paid; if you record less, the rest stays pending and you can record it later. You can record several payments; the bar shows what was paid and what is left. When what was recorded reaches the total, it says “Paid · Matches ✓”, with who recorded it and when. Below you see each record with its amount, day, reference and who recorded it; if one is wrong, “Undo” voids it (it asks first and you can write why): it no longer counts as paid, but nothing is deleted, who undid it and when is recorded. What the bank file recorded is not undone this way: it is corrected by recording the return. If you turned on “Pay through your bank”, the file for your bank lives in that same box, and if you paid them another way, “Record it by hand”. Below, “Reports for this payroll”: the payment register, hours and cost by insurer, overtime, separate payments and paid vs. confirmed, each with what it says about this payroll and its PDF or Excel download; they always come out the same because the payroll is closed. Reports for any other period are in “Reports”. A closed payroll no longer shows in the Payroll Center: you find it in “Payrolls”. Recording a payment requires the “Confirm the payment went out” permission; downloading reports, “Download reports”.
