Where to find it
Open the file → top right → "Upload documents"
- Open the person's file and press "Upload documents" (top right, next to "Print pending").
- Drop the PDFs or photos. The window says which file they go to; there is nothing else to choose. If the system is still learning this kind of person, it accepts fewer at a time and tells you so.
- Press "Upload". Where the button was, a small bar shows the progress: "Reading…", "Checking they belong to…", "Placing…" and "Done". You can keep working meanwhile. The documents of the upload appear all together when it finishes, and a single notice says so: they do not drop in one by one.
- What the system recognises goes into its row by itself; if the row already had a document, the new one becomes the current version and the previous one stays in the history. If a document needs a look, the bar says so with "Review"; what stays unplaced waits in "papers to place" of this same file.
How the system checks they are this person's
Everything you upload together is one upload. Documents without a name go in with the rest: you uploaded them in this file. The system only stops if a document needs a look: it shows it belongs to someone else (another person's name — a relative with the same last name counts as another person —, a different date of birth, a record number printed for another file, or a license or other numbers of another person), it looks like an agency document, or it could not be read. Then it asks ONCE for the whole upload: "Upload these documents to the record of…?", with the list of what you uploaded. Each one has "View" and "Remove"; the one that needs a look is marked and says why. "Yes, upload them (N)" sends the rest here; "Discard the whole upload" (it asks you to confirm) is for when you picked the wrong file: nothing goes in. If you close it with ✕, the bar keeps "Review" so you can come back.
If the tab was closed while uploading
Nothing is lost: what had already arrived stays. The bar keeps saying "Uploading" for a few minutes and then the system works with what arrived, on its own. Nobody else's upload is ever cut from another screen.
Where it appears
Only on a wide screen (computer, or a tablet held horizontally) and in an active file. On the phone and on a vertical tablet the file is for looking up, and the button does not appear. While a file has papers to place, the button hides too (as the other upload buttons do); an upload already in progress keeps its bar.
