A file you no longer use: archive it (there is no delete)

A person who left, a patient who was discharged, a file created by mistake: you archive it. Nothing is deleted, it leaves the active list and stops counting, and you can restore it whenever you want. There is no "delete file" button, on purpose.

Where to find it

Open the file → "More actions" (⋯) → "Archive file"; or drag the row onto "Drop here to archive"

Archive

  1. Open the file, press "More actions" (⋯) and choose "Archive file". You can also drag the row of the list onto "Drop here to archive" at the bottom of the left column.
  2. Write the reason for the archive (it is mandatory and stays in the history).
  3. Press "Archive". The file leaves the active list, stops counting for compliance, its nurse assignments end and its portal access closes.

Restore

  1. In the list, press "Archived" at the bottom of the left column.
  2. Turn the card over and press "Restore", or drag it onto "Drop here to restore".
  3. The file returns to the active list with all its papers, folders and history intact.
Tip

If the same person comes back months later, "+ New file" recognizes her email and offers "Restore their file" keeping what was already met.

Please note

A file under legal hold cannot be archived until the hold is released. And a paper that carries a signature is never deleted: what you can discard are loose sheets that do not belong.
